The Loving Day Event is a fictional event celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Loving v. Virginia case. In 1967 this victory put an end to legislation that barred interracial marriage in the state of Virginia. This was a monumental achievement for the South and for our country as a whole, and multiracial families like mine have been benefitting from this triumph ever since. I wanted to create a poster and informational brochure to remind viewers of this triumph and to celebrate a beautiful mix of nationalities and cultures. My campaign is colorful and triumphant, and I hope it invites people to remember how far our nation has come and that we never need to stop working towards harmony, tolerance, and equality.
